MLK National Day of Service

It's that time again. A single National Day of Recognition for a slain Civil Rights leader of the 1960's. Reverand Dr. Martin Luther King. In the songful words of Motown Mastermind Little Stevie Wonder; "There has never been a day"! I must say ;" I believe the words of this modern day musical martyr". Never has there ever been a single day to recognize the contributions of such a monumental fiqure in our history ! It was just a few short decades ago that our Executive powers decided that Dr. King needed His own Holiday. Thank you very much . We didn't realize that we needed permission.

Now to this occasion we recognize "A National Day of Service". We come together to remember what His existence represented. Peace, love, understanding, motivation, comradery, compatibility and unity.

We can exist as one. Just like trees standing by the water. We shall not be moved by unforgiveness, murder, envy or strife. We will endure through the toughest of times. Because we are focusing on one common goal. To believe, to conceive, to achieve to ignite, to further his vision.

That is whey we will join togther to appreciate what is given to us. "To whom much is given, much is required.". To all who come, let them come and enjoy a national Day of Service at American Legion Post 504 located at 603 Clifford Road in Lafayette, Louisana. Come, come, come!
